In Spyro 2, which realm is ruled by Ripto?

In Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, Ripto invades and seeks to rule Avalar. Avalar is the separate world where the game’s main story takes place.

Spyro is drawn to Avalar after its inhabitants summon a dragon to deal with Ripto, a powerful reptilian sorcerer. The plan goes wrong when Spyro arrives instead, but he becomes the world’s defender. Ripto and his forces have already disrupted Avalar, and Spyro must help restore its realms while gathering orbs and talismans.

The game’s principal home worlds are Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter Tundra. These hubs connect to adventure realms where Spyro completes platforming challenges, assists local characters, and battles Ripto’s forces. Ripto’s lieutenants Crush and Gulp also serve as major boss opponents during the campaign.

A common mix-up is choosing Dragon Realms, which is Spyro’s original home setting, or the Dream Weavers, which is one of the first game’s Homeworlds. The Forgotten Worlds are associated with Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Avalar is specifically the world threatened and targeted by Ripto in Spyro 2.
