In Spyro 2, what item does a realm character give Spyro when a level is completed?

The story behind the answer

In Spyro 2, a realm character gives Spyro a Talisman when a level is completed.

Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! divides Avalar into three Homeworlds: Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter Tundra. Each Homeworld contains several realms, and reaching the end of a realm awards its local Talisman. These collectibles are part of the main progression rather than optional treasure.

Talismans are needed to advance through the first two Homeworlds and eventually confront their bosses. In Summer Forest, Spyro collects six Talismans before facing Crush; in Autumn Plains, he collects eight before battling Gulp. The game’s inhabitants generally grant the reward after Spyro resolves a realm’s central problem.

A common mix-up is confusing Talismans with Orbs or Gems. Orbs come from secondary challenges and help unlock portals or other progression devices, while Gems are mainly used to pay Moneybags. Dark Gems, Fireflies, and Eggs belong to other parts of the broader Spyro vocabulary, not this specific completion reward.
