In "Sleeping Beauty", what is the name of the princess?

The story behind the answer

In “Sleeping Beauty,” the princess is named Aurora.

Aurora is the daughter of King Stefan and Queen Leah in Disney’s 1959 animated film. At her christening, the evil fairy Maleficent curses her: before sunset on her sixteenth birthday, Aurora will prick her finger on a spinning-wheel spindle and die. The good fairy Merryweather softens the curse so that Aurora instead falls into an enchanted sleep.

To protect her, the three good fairies raise her in a forest cottage under the name Briar Rose. Aurora does not know that she is a princess during this part of the story. She also meets Prince Phillip in the woods, unaware that he is the prince to whom she was betrothed as an infant.

Aurora is sometimes called Briar Rose or “Sleeping Beauty,” but those are alternate names or titles, not different princesses. The character is voiced by Mary Costa, and her principal song is “Once Upon a Dream,” adapted from music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
