Disney’s “Frozen” won 2 Academy Awards.
At the 86th Academy Awards, “Frozen” won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. The song award went to Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez for “Let It Go,” performed in the film by Idina Menzel as Elsa.
The wins marked a major awards success for Disney’s 2013 animated musical. “Frozen” was also nominated for awards including Best Original Song’s companion categories and achieved broad recognition for its animation, music, and voice performances, but only two of its nominations resulted in Oscars.
A common mix-up is counting other honors, nominations, or awards from different ceremonies alongside the Academy Awards. “Frozen” won many additional prizes worldwide, but the question asks specifically about Oscars. Its sequel, “Frozen II,” is a separate film and has its own awards record, so it should not be included in the total.
