In Rayman Origins, how many players can play simultaneously?

The story behind the answer

In Rayman Origins, up to four players can play simultaneously. The game supports local cooperative play, with players controlling Rayman, Globox, or one of two Teensies as they travel through the Glade of Dreams.

Players can join or leave during a level, making the four-player mode unusually flexible for a platform game. Cooperation is especially useful when one character becomes “bubblized” after being hit: another player can slap or jump on the bubble to bring that character back into action.

The game’s four-player design is sometimes confused with Rayman Legends, which also supports multiplayer but varies slightly by platform and control setup. Rayman Origins itself is a side-scrolling adventure built around rescuing Electoons, collecting Lums, defeating enemies, and unlocking new abilities such as wall-running and swimming.

The cooperative format helped distinguish Origins from earlier mainline Rayman games, which were primarily single-player experiences. Its local multiplayer also made the game a popular choice for groups playing on the same console.
