In Rayman Legends, how long had Rayman and his friends slept after Rayman Origins?

The story behind the answer

In Rayman Legends, Rayman and his friends had slept for one century after the events of Rayman Origins.

Rayman Legends begins after a 100-year slumber. Rayman, Globox, and several Teensies have been resting after their previous adventure while the Bubble Dreamer’s nightmares grow stronger and spread across the Glade of Dreams. Murfy eventually wakes them when the crisis becomes impossible to ignore.

The century-long gap gives Legends a storybook-like reset while keeping its cast recognizable. The heroes have not visibly aged, and the game quickly moves from the quiet Snoring Tree into a new rescue mission involving captured Teensies and warrior princesses, including Barbara.

The answer is sometimes confused with a decade or a millennium because Rayman’s series timeline is deliberately whimsical and not always presented as a strict chronology. However, Legends’ opening story explicitly places the events one century after Origins. The game was released in 2013 as the direct sequel to Rayman Origins, which had launched in 2011.
