In Power Rangers: Wild Force, the Red Ranger's Zord is the Lion Zord.
Cole Evans becomes the Red Lion Ranger after arriving at Animarium, the floating sanctuary of the Wild Zords. His red crystal is linked to the Lion Zord, which recognizes him as its chosen partner. The Lion is also central to the Wild Force Megazord, serving as its main body and power source.
Wild Force premiered in 2002 as the franchise's tenth-anniversary season and adapted the Japanese series Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger. Its animal theme explains why the team uses creatures such as the Eagle, Shark, Tiger, and Bison rather than mechanical vehicles based on one dinosaur group.
A common mix-up is confusing Cole's Lion Zord with Danny's Bison Zord or Max's Shark Zord. The Red Ranger's animal identity is consistently the lion, while later Wild Force Rangers gain additional animal crystals and combinations.
