Tuk is the nickname of Jake Sully’s youngest child in James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water.
Tuk’s full name is Tuktirey, and Trinity Jo-Li Bliss portrays her in the film. She is the youngest biological child of Jake Sully and Neytiri. Tuk travels with the family when they seek refuge with the Metkayina reef clan, and her age and curiosity repeatedly place her close to danger.
The Sully children have distinct names and roles. Neteyam is the eldest son, Lo’ak is his younger brother, and Kiri is the adopted daughter of Jake and Neytiri. Spider, another important young character, is human and is not one of the Sully children.
Because the family uses short names in dialogue, viewers may confuse Tuk with Kiri or Lo’ak. The name Tuk is the character’s familiar form, while Tuktirey is the longer name used in official character information.
