In Genesis, Noah’s youngest son is named Ham.
Genesis names Noah’s three sons as Shem, Ham, and Japheth. After the Flood, the text tells an episode involving Noah, Ham, and Ham’s son Canaan. Because Canaan is prominent in that episode, readers sometimes mistakenly treat Canaan as one of Noah’s sons, but Genesis identifies him as Ham’s son.
The three sons are important in the narrative because they leave the Ark with Noah and become ancestors of families and nations described in Genesis 10, often called the Table of Nations. Their names also appear in later biblical genealogies.
The text’s wording about birth order is brief, and translations can differ in how they express which son was youngest. The conventional identification in the Genesis narrative is Ham, while Shem and Japheth are his brothers.
