Answer

Answer
He removed the Ark's covering
In Genesis, Noah first removed the Ark’s covering after the Flood waters had dried.
Genesis 8:13 says that Noah removed the covering and looked out, seeing that the surface of the ground was dry. The passage then describes God telling Noah to leave the Ark with his family and the animals. This sequence is different from Noah’s later actions outside the vessel.
After leaving, Noah builds an altar and offers burnt offerings. Later, Genesis describes him planting a vineyard. These events are often compressed together in retellings, but the text places them in a definite order.
The distinction also separates Noah’s own observation from the earlier bird episodes. Noah had already used a raven and a dove to assess the condition of the waters; after the covering is removed, he directly sees the dry ground.
