In Genesis, what did Noah plant after the Flood besides the vineyard’s vines?

The story behind the answer

In Genesis, nothing besides the vineyard’s vines is specified as a plant Noah planted after the Flood. Genesis 9:20 says that Noah, described as a man of the soil, planted a vineyard.

The text then describes Noah drinking wine made from the vineyard’s produce and becoming drunk. It does not say that he planted an olive tree, a fig tree, or grain in that passage. Those alternatives can sound plausible because other plants and crops appear elsewhere in the Bible, but they are not named as Noah’s post-Flood planting.

The olive branch belongs to the earlier dove episode. Genesis says the dove returned with a freshly plucked olive leaf, but it does not say Noah planted the olive tree. That is a common mix-up between two separate scenes.

Because the question asks what else he planted, the text-supported answer is that Genesis specifies no second plant. The only named planting is the vineyard.
