In Genesis, Noah’s Ark was 30 cubits high according to its stated construction measurements. Genesis 6:15 gives the complete set of dimensions: 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high.
Since a cubit was an ancient length that varied by place and period, the height cannot be converted with absolute precision. Using a commonly estimated cubit of about 45 centimetres, 30 cubits would be approximately 13.5 metres, or 44 feet. Other estimates produce somewhat different results.
Genesis also says the Ark had three decks. The height figure therefore appears alongside an internal arrangement, though the text does not state exactly how the decks were spaced or how tall each level was. It also mentions rooms, a window, and a door.
The height is frequently confused with the width because both are smaller than the 300-cubit length. The biblical sequence is useful to remember: 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. These measurements belong to the Genesis text, not to a confirmed archaeological vessel.
