Inferno is the Counter-Strike map containing the long B-site approach known as Banana.
Banana is the common player name for the narrow, curved route connecting the terrorist side of Inferno to the B bombsite. It is one of the map’s most recognizable areas and is often contested early because control of it strongly affects attacks on B.
The name comes from the route’s curved shape rather than from an official objective or item. Players commonly use utility such as smoke grenades, flashbangs, and Molotovs to fight for or deny Banana control. The area has changed visually and geometrically across major versions of Inferno.
Inferno itself is a European village-style bomb-defusal map. Its two sites are connected by central routes and apartments, while Banana provides the main direct approach to B. This makes the callout a standard part of Counter-Strike communication.
