In Counter-Strike 2, how long does a standard bomb-defusal round last before the round timer expires?

The story behind the answer

In Counter-Strike 2, a standard bomb-defusal round lasts 1 minute 55 seconds before the round timer expires.

The round clock begins when play starts and gives the Terrorists time to reach a bombsite, plant the C4 explosive, and defend it. The Counter-Terrorists can instead eliminate the opposing team, prevent the plant until time runs out, or defuse the bomb after it is planted.

The timer is separate from the bomb’s detonation countdown. Once planted, the C4 follows its own fuse, so a late plant can still create a decisive endgame situation.

Different game modes and competitive settings may use different round-time rules. The 1:55 value is associated with the standard Competitive bomb-defusal setup, not every Counter-Strike mode.
