Paris is the main setting of Assassin's Creed Unity's French Revolution story.
The game begins in the years before the Revolution and follows Arno Dorian through the upheaval that transforms France. Paris is represented through major landmarks and districts, including Notre-Dame, the Tuileries, the Bastille area, and the palace of Versailles outside the city. The crowded urban environment supports climbing, stealth, investigations, and cooperative missions.
Unity was released in 2014 and was designed around a large, detailed version of revolutionary Paris. Its protagonist, Arno, becomes an Assassin while investigating the death of his adoptive father. Historical figures such as Maximilien Robespierre and Napoleon Bonaparte appear in the broader story. London is the principal city in Assassin's Creed Syndicate, while Rome is central to Brotherhood, so those locations are common alternatives but do not fit Unity's setting.
