Kai Havertz scored Arsenal’s first goal in their 3–0 victory over Coventry City on the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
The German forward opened the scoring in the 15th minute at Emirates Stadium. Riccardo Calafiori provided the assist, giving Arsenal an early advantage in the season’s opening match round.
Arsenal added two more goals before the final whistle. Bukayo Saka scored in the first half, while Martin Ødegaard completed the scoring after the interval. The result gave the defending champions a winning start against newly promoted Coventry City.
Havertz joined Arsenal from Chelsea in 2023 and has been used both as a centre-forward and in midfield. His opening-weekend goal was therefore part of a broader attacking display rather than an isolated strike.
