Beyoncé's self-titled 2013 album contains 14 tracks.
Beyoncé was released without advance promotion on December 13, 2013, through Columbia Records and Beyoncé's Parkwood Entertainment. The surprise launch was accompanied by music videos for every song, making the project a landmark example of the visual-album format.
The standard edition contains 14 audio tracks, including “Pretty Hurts,” “Drunk in Love,” “Partition,” “Flawless,” and “XO.” Several songs feature guest performers, including Jay-Z, Drake, Frank Ocean, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. The track list is sometimes confused with the album's 17 accompanying videos, which included one video for each song plus additional visual material.
The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making Beyoncé the first woman to place her first five studio albums at number one in the United States. Its surprise release also made the album's arrival itself part of its cultural impact.
