Six teams kept a clean sheet during the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
The clean-sheet winners were Arsenal, Hull City, Leeds United, Everton, Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion. Each conceded zero goals in its opening fixture.
Arsenal beat Coventry City 3–0, Hull defeated Manchester United 2–0, Leeds won 1–0 at Nottingham Forest, Everton beat Crystal Palace 2–0, Brentford defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3–0 and Brighton beat Aston Villa 4–0.
The other four matches featured goals for both teams or, in Manchester City’s case, a 2–1 win after Bournemouth scored once. Clean sheets are commonly used as a defensive measure because they show that a team prevented its opponent from scoring.
