João Pedro scored Chelsea’s opener against Fulham 31 seconds after kick-off in the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
The goal came at Craven Cottage on 24 August 2026, when Chelsea defeated Fulham 3–2. João Pedro ran onto Cole Palmer’s flick and finished almost immediately after the match began.
The strike was officially recorded at 31 seconds and was described as the earliest goal on a Premier League opening weekend. Chelsea’s early lead was later cancelled out by Josh King, but Morgan Rogers restored Chelsea’s advantage before half-time and Palmer added a third after the interval.
Fulham’s Gonzalo García scored later in his Premier League debut, yet Chelsea held on. The 31-second figure is sometimes reported as 32 or 35 seconds because of different timing descriptions, but the official match record lists 31 seconds.
