Destiny’s Child had three members in its classic trio lineup.
That best-known lineup consisted of Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. The trio became one of the most successful girl groups in music history after the departure of original members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett.
The lineup’s major releases included Survivor, released in 2001, and Destiny Fulfilled, released in 2004. Hits associated with the trio include “Survivor,” “Bootylicious,” “Lose My Breath,” and “Cater 2 U.”
The group originally had more members, which causes frequent confusion in questions about its size. Destiny’s Child began with a larger formation in Houston, but the final and most recognizable lineup had three singers. The group announced a hiatus in 2005 and later reunited for selected appearances.
