Seventy-seven international markets contributed to Practical Magic 2’s opening weekend. The film earned about $16 million outside the United States and Canada during that launch.
International market counts refer to territories where a film opened during the measured frame, not to the number of individual cinemas. This distinction matters because one market can contain many theaters, while a theatrical release may stagger dates across different countries.
Combined with the $30 million domestic debut, the international result produced a global opening weekend of approximately $46 million. The figure gave the sequel a substantial worldwide start after its North American release.
The film’s release pattern also included an earlier European premiere in London at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square. That premiere was a promotional event, whereas the 77-market total refers to commercial theatrical markets included in box-office reporting.
