Beyoncé had won 32 Grammy Awards by the 2023 ceremony, the most ever won by an individual at that time.
She reached the total at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on February 5, 2023. Her wins that night included Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for Renaissance, Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Plastic Off the Sofa,” Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul,” and Best R&B Song for “Cuff It.”
The milestone surpassed the previous individual record held by Hungarian-British conductor Georg Solti, who had won 31 Grammys. Beyoncé had previously tied Solti’s total before moving ahead during the 2023 ceremony.
The number refers to competitive Grammy wins credited to Beyoncé as recorded at that ceremony. It does not mean 32 nominations, albums, or songs, and later ceremonies can change an artist’s cumulative total.
