Beyoncé had won 28 Grammy Awards by the 2021 ceremony, making her the most awarded woman in Grammy history at that time.
She reached the total at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in March 2021, where she won four awards. Those victories included Best R&B Performance for “Black Parade,” which also made her the most awarded singer in Grammy history at that point.
Her Grammy wins span multiple categories, including pop, R&B, rap, music video, and traditional R&B. This range reflects a career that has moved between group recordings, solo albums, visual projects, and collaborations.
The total can change as new ceremonies occur, so the date matters. Later Grammy ceremonies added to her overall number, but 28 is the historically specific total associated with her 2021 record-setting night.
