Beyoncé won five Grammy Awards for her first solo album, Dangerously in Love.
At the 46th Annual Grammy Awards in 2004, Beyoncé received five awards connected with the album and its singles. The wins included Best Contemporary R&B Album, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “Dangerously in Love 2,” Best R&B Song for “Crazy in Love,” Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Crazy in Love,” and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Dangerously in Love 2.”
The five-award result established a major early milestone in her solo career. It also showed that the project crossed several Grammy categories rather than being recognized only as an R&B release. The award total is sometimes confused with Beyoncé's lifetime Grammy record, which is a separate statistic covering many later albums and songs. Dangerously in Love was released in 2003, while the awards were presented the following year.
