A total of 30 goals were scored across the ten matches of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
The opening round ran from Arsenal versus Coventry City on Friday, 21 August 2026, through Fulham versus Chelsea on Monday, 24 August. All 20 Premier League clubs played once, creating ten matches in total.
The 30-goal total comes from adding the goals in every scoreline: Arsenal won 3–0, Hull won 2–0, Ipswich won 2–1, Everton won 2–0, Leeds won 1–0, Brentford won 3–0, Brighton won 4–0, Manchester City won 2–1, Newcastle and Liverpool drew 2–2, and Chelsea won 3–2.
The total is not the same as the number of goals scored by the winning teams alone. It counts goals by both sides in all ten fixtures, including the four goals in the Newcastle–Liverpool draw and five in Fulham–Chelsea.
