The World Showcase at Epcot represents 11 countries.
The pavilions form a ring around World Showcase Lagoon and present selected aspects of national culture, including architecture, food, music, history, and traditions. The 11 pavilions are Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, the United States, Italy, Germany, China, Norway, and Mexico. The United States is represented by The American Adventure pavilion.
The number refers to nation pavilions, not every country visitors might encounter through festivals, temporary events, or international merchandise. World Showcase is also not a complete geographic survey of the world; its pavilions are curated representations rather than embassies. Epcot originally opened with nine of the current pavilions. Morocco joined in 1984 and Norway in 1988, bringing the total to 11. The pavilions surround a lagoon with a perimeter of about 1.2 miles.
