The five colored gems are special collectibles separate from the game’s ordinary clear gems. They are hidden in particular challenge levels and open access to colored gem paths or other concealed areas. Their colors are red, purple, blue, green, and yellow.
Warped contains 45 gems in total, so the five colored gems make up only one part of the game’s broader collection system. Regular gems are commonly awarded for breaking every crate in a level or completing a secret route, while colored gems are tied to specific objectives and difficult alternate paths.
Players sometimes confuse gems with crystals or relics. The main adventure requires 25 crystals, one associated with each standard level, while relics are earned through Time Trials. The colored gems are instead exploration and completion rewards, and obtaining them can reveal routes that are otherwise inaccessible.
