Novak Djokovic has won seven ATP Finals titles. His first came in 2008, when he defeated Nikolay Davydenko in Shanghai, and he later added championships in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. That four-title streak remains one of the tournament’s defining records.
After losing the 2016 final to Andy Murray and the 2018 final to Alexander Zverev, Djokovic returned to win the event in 2022, defeating Casper Ruud. In 2023, he beat Jannik Sinner in straight sets to claim his seventh title and move ahead of Roger Federer’s previous record of six.
The ATP Finals are the season-ending championship for the leading singles players and doubles teams on the ATP Tour. They are not one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, but they are among tennis’s most prestigious events. Djokovic’s seven titles are also notable because they span 15 years, from 2008 through 2023. The tournament was formerly known under names including the Tennis Masters Cup and ATP World Tour Finals.
