According to Genesis, Noah’s ark was 30 cubits high.
Genesis 6:15 gives the ark’s three principal dimensions as 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. The text does not define the exact length of a cubit, so modern conversions vary. Using a common estimate of about 45 centimetres, the height would be roughly 13.5 metres.
The ark is also described as having three decks, or levels, along with rooms and a door in its side. These details make the height part of a broader construction specification rather than an isolated measurement.
The 30-cubit height is sometimes confused with the ark’s width of 50 cubits or its length of 300 cubits. Those figures belong to the same verse, but each answers a different question about the vessel’s proportions.
