Blow Up Your Video was AC/DC's final studio album to feature which drummer?

The story behind the answer

Blow Up Your Video was AC/DC’s final studio album to feature drummer Simon Wright.

Wright joined AC/DC after Phil Rudd’s departure and first appeared on the 1983 album Flick of the Switch. He also played on Fly on the Wall and the soundtrack album Who Made Who before recording Blow Up Your Video, released in 1988. His drumming helped define the band’s sound during the mid-1980s lineup.

The album was recorded in 1987 with producers Harry Vanda and George Young, who had worked with AC/DC on several earlier releases. Wright left the band after the album and was replaced by Chris Slade, who played on The Razors Edge. That transition can cause confusion because Slade later became strongly associated with AC/DC’s live and studio history, but he did not play on Blow Up Your Video.

The album also marked the final AC/DC release featuring Brian Johnson as a lyricist and songwriter; later albums credited songwriting to Angus and Malcolm Young.
