Bell Let's Talk, known for #BellLetsTalk, is organized by Bell Canada.
Bell launched the initiative in 2010 as a corporate mental-health campaign in Canada, with the first Bell Let's Talk Day held in 2011. Its goal was to reduce stigma, improve access to care, support research, and encourage healthier workplaces.
The hashtag became the campaign's most recognizable feature. For many years, Bell pledged a donation for qualifying interactions, including social-media posts, text messages, calls, and other forms of participation. This model helped turn a company campaign into a large annual public conversation.
A common mix-up is confusing Bell Canada with its Canadian telecom rivals Telus, Rogers, and Shaw. Those companies have sponsored or supported other causes, but Bell Canada created and organizes Bell Let's Talk. The campaign has also attracted criticism from people who question whether corporate branding can genuinely address mental-health problems.
