Craven Cottage hosted the final match of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
The match was Fulham versus Chelsea on Monday 24 August 2026. Chelsea won 3–2, ending the opening Match Round after ten fixtures had been played across four days.
Craven Cottage is Fulham's home stadium, situated beside the River Thames in London. Fulham's listed stadium capacity for the 2026–27 season was 28,107. Chelsea made the short journey across London for the closing fixture.
The stadium can be confused with Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's own home ground. Stamford Bridge hosted no opening-weekend match because Chelsea began away from home. The opening round's first game, by contrast, was held at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, while the first Saturday lunchtime fixture took place at Hull City's MKM Stadium.
