Beyoncé performed the concerts documented in Homecoming at Coachella.
She headlined the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. Her two weekend performances were widely discussed for their scale, live-band arrangements, choreography, and celebration of Black musical and collegiate traditions.
The set included appearances by Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, marking the group’s first major performance together in years. Beyoncé also performed with her sister Solange Knowles during the festival set.
Coachella is sometimes confused with the festival’s official longer name, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Both names refer to the same event. Homecoming is the film title, while Coachella is the festival where the filmed performances took place.
