At which music festival did Beyoncé perform her acclaimed 2018 Homecoming set?

The story behind the answer

Beyoncé performed her acclaimed 2018 Homecoming set at Coachella.

She headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, on two weekends in April 2018. The performance was especially notable because Beyoncé had postponed her planned 2017 appearance after announcing that she was pregnant with twins. Her eventual set became the first by a Black woman to headline Coachella.

The production celebrated historically Black colleges and universities through its marching-band arrangements, dance formations, drumlines, and visual design. Beyoncé was joined by Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, as well as her sister Solange in a dance appearance.

The performance was later documented in the 2019 Netflix film Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé and accompanied by a live album. “Homecoming” is therefore both the name of the film and album project and a common label for the Coachella performance itself. The festival is officially named the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
