At the 2026 Critics' Choice Awards, which film won Best Picture?
Answer
One Battle After Another
One Battle After Another won Best Picture at the 2026 Critics' Choice Awards.
The 31st Critics' Choice Awards took place on January 4, 2026, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The ceremony honored film and television work released during 2025, making the Best Picture award the event's top film prize.
Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, One Battle After Another also won Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay. Those three awards made it one of the ceremony's strongest film performers, although Frankenstein and Sinners each collected four awards overall.
The film competed against nominees including Bugonia, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, Sentimental Value, Sinners, Train Dreams, and Wicked: For Good. A common mix-up is to confuse Best Picture with Best Drama Series, which went to The Pitt in the television section.
