Alofi consists of Alofi North and which other village?

The story behind the answer

Alofi consists of Alofi North and Alofi South, the two villages that together form Niue’s capital.

Alofi lies on Niue’s western coast beside Alofi Bay. Although it is commonly described as one capital, its administrative area is divided into two village constituencies. Alofi South contains many central services and is the more populous half, while Alofi North lies to the north and shares the capital’s coastal setting.

This division can cause confusion because “Alofi” names both the capital area and, informally, the urban settlement as a whole. Niue itself is a self-governing island country in free association with New Zealand, and its Parliament is based in Alofi. The island has many other villages, including Makefu, Avatele and Hakupu, but none is the second half of the capital.
