According to Genesis, what length did Noah's Ark have?

The story behind the answer

According to Genesis, Noah's Ark was 300 cubits long. Genesis 6:15 gives the Ark's three principal dimensions as 300 cubits in length, 50 cubits in width, and 30 cubits in height.

A cubit was an ancient unit based roughly on the length of a forearm, so its exact modern equivalent is uncertain. Using common estimates, 300 cubits is often presented as approximately 135 metres, or 450 feet, but translations and historical measurements vary.

The dimensions are part of the biblical account rather than a surviving engineering specification. The narrative also describes three internal decks, rooms, a side door, and a covering or roof. Readers sometimes confuse the Ark with later artistic reconstructions that assign it a precise modern measurement.
