Who won golf's Honda Classic in 2018?

Justin Thomas won golf’s Honda Classic in 2018. He defeated Luke List in a playoff at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on February 25, 2018.

Thomas reached the playoff with a birdie on the par-5 18th hole, then secured the title with another birdie on the first playoff hole. The victory was his eighth on the PGA Tour and came when he was 24 years old.

The Honda Classic was part of the PGA Tour’s Florida swing and was known for its demanding Champion Course, particularly the difficult closing stretch called the “Bear Trap.” Thomas finished the tournament at 8 under par, one stroke ahead of List after four regulation rounds.

A common mix-up is confusing the 2018 winner with Rickie Fowler, who won the Honda Classic in 2017, or Keith Mitchell, who won in 2019. The event was later renamed the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches.
