Who wears #15 for the 2018-19 Chicago Blackhawks

The story behind the answer

Artem Anisimov wore number 15 for the 2018–19 Chicago Blackhawks. The Russian center joined Chicago in 2015 after the Blackhawks acquired him from the Columbus Blue Jackets in a trade involving Brandon Saad. His size, faceoff work and two-way play made him a regular middle-six center, often appearing alongside skilled wingers.

In the 2018–19 season, Anisimov played 78 games and recorded 15 goals and 22 assists for 37 points. He had previously reached a career high of 45 points with Chicago in 2016–17. The number 15 identifies Anisimov in that season’s roster listings, although jersey numbers can change when players are traded or reassigned.

A common mix-up is confusing Anisimov’s number with those of other notable Blackhawks centers. Jonathan Toews wore 19, while Dylan Strome wore 17 during the same season. Anisimov later left Chicago in 2019 when he was traded to the Ottawa Senators.
