Who was the youngest investor ever to join BBC's Dragons' Den?

The story behind the answer

Steven Bartlett was the youngest investor ever to join BBC's Dragons' Den.

Bartlett joined the programme in 2022, when he was 29 years old. His appointment marked a generational change for the panel: unlike many previous Dragons, he was closely associated with digital businesses, social media and technology entrepreneurship.

He co-founded Social Chain, a social-media marketing company, with Dominic McGregor. Bartlett later became widely known as the host of The Diary of a CEO podcast, but his Dragons' Den role made him familiar to a broad television audience.

The record refers to age at appointment, not to the youngest contestant or the youngest person to receive an offer. Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne and Theo Paphitis were all established Dragons, but none held Bartlett's youngest-investor record.
