Adrianne Curry won the first season, or cycle, of 'America's Next Top Model.' She defeated Shannon Stewart in the finale of the cycle, which originally aired on UPN in 2003.

Curry was 20 years old and from Joliet, Illinois, when she entered the competition. The inaugural cycle featured only 10 contestants, fewer than later seasons, and sent the finalists to Paris for an international modeling experience.
