Answer
André the Giant
Answer
André the Giant
André the Giant was the sole inductee in the inaugural WWE Hall of Fame class in 1993.
The first Hall of Fame ceremony was held on March 22, 1993, in connection with WrestleMania IX. André had died in January 1993, and WWE honored him as the first and only member of that initial class.
André was one of the most internationally recognizable wrestlers of the twentieth century. His exceptional size, undefeated-streak claims in promotional storytelling, and major matches with Hulk Hogan made him a central figure in WWE history.
The Hall of Fame changed considerably over time. Later ceremonies inducted multiple wrestlers, managers, celebrities, tag teams, and other contributors. Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund, and Billy Graham were among the later headline inductees, not members of the original one-person class.
