Who became the first TNA Knockouts World Champion at Bound for Glory 2007?

The story behind the answer

Gail Kim became the first TNA Knockouts World Champion at Bound for Glory 2007.

The championship was introduced by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2007 as the company’s principal women’s singles title. Gail Kim won the inaugural title in a battle royal at Bound for Glory on October 14, 2007, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kim last eliminated Roxxi Laveaux to claim the championship. The division later became known for competitors including Awesome Kong, Angelina Love and Tara, while the title itself underwent several name changes as TNA and Impact Wrestling evolved.

This result is sometimes confused with the first Knockouts Championship match defended in singles competition or with later title tournaments. Kim’s victory in the inaugural battle royal is the defining first-title achievement and makes her the division’s inaugural champion.
