Faker was the first player inducted into Riot’s League of Legends Hall of Legends. The South Korean star, whose real name is Lee Sang-hyeok, became the inaugural inductee in 2024.
Riot announced the Hall of Legends in January 2024 as a yearly honor for active or retired players whose careers made an exceptional contribution to League of Legends. Selection considers long-term achievement in top-level leagues as well as broader impact, with a panel of experts choosing the inductees.
Faker’s selection reflects a career built almost entirely with T1, formerly SK Telecom T1. He debuted professionally in 2013 and became the central figure of several championship teams, winning World Championships, LCK titles, and Mid-Season Invitational trophies. His nickname, the “Unkillable Demon King,” is closely associated with his influence on the game.
Uzi was the second inductee in 2025, which is why some quizzes or newer articles may mention him alongside Faker. Caps and Deft are celebrated stars, but neither was the inaugural Hall of Legends honoree.
