Which studio developed Ruined King: A League of Legends Story?

The story behind the answer

Airship Syndicate developed Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.

The Austin, Texas-based studio made the game as a single-player, turn-based role-playing spin-off of League of Legends. Riot Forge published it, but publishing and development were separate roles, which is why Riot Forge is not the developer answer.

Airship Syndicate was founded in 2014 by former Vigil Games staff, including Joe Madureira and Ryan Stefanelli. Before Ruined King, the studio was known for Battle Chasers: Nightwar and Darksiders Genesis, both of which helped establish its reputation for stylized action and role-playing games.

Ruined King was announced at The Game Awards in 2019 and released on November 16, 2021. Its story takes place in Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles, bringing together six playable League champions: Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Pyke, Braum, Yasuo, and Ahri. Tequila Works and Double Stallion were involved with other Riot Forge projects, not this game.
