Who was the first permanent presenter of the BBC's Dragon's Den?

Adrian Chiles was the first permanent presenter of the BBC's Dragon's Den.

Chiles is an English television and radio presenter who hosted the opening two series of the British programme. He helped establish the show's tone by introducing entrepreneurs, explaining the investment requests and guiding the exchanges with the dragons.

Evan Davis later became the programme's long-running presenter from the third series onward. Because Davis hosted the show for many years, audiences may associate him more strongly with Dragon's Den and overlook Chiles's role at launch.

Chiles had already built a profile through television and radio work, including business-related broadcasting. His presenting style helped make the specialist language of valuations, equity and company growth accessible to a general audience.
