Rachel Elnaugh was the first female Dragon to join the regular investor panel on the British series Dragon's Den.
Elnaugh was one of the original investors when the British programme began in 2005. She was known for founding Red Letter Days, a company selling experience gifts, and brought experience in consumer businesses to the panel.
Deborah Meaden later became one of the programme's best-known female investors, but she was not the first woman on the British panel. Kelly Hoppen and Sara Davies joined in later series, making them different answers to questions about subsequent female Dragons.
Elnaugh's tenure was relatively brief compared with some other investors. The panel has changed repeatedly, so identifying the first female regular requires separating original-cast history from later prominence.
