Who voices Mufasa?

In the 1994 animated film, Mufasa is Simba's father, Scar's older brother, Sarabi's mate, and king of the Pride Lands. Jones was chosen partly because filmmakers felt his powerful voice resembled a lion's roar, giving Mufasa both royal authority and warmth as a parent.

Mufasa teaches Simba about responsibility and the balance of life before Scar's betrayal leads to his death during the wildebeest stampede. His later appearance in the clouds helps Simba regain the courage to return home and challenge Scar.
