Who voiced Shelby Forthright, the CEO of Buy n Large, in WALL-E?

Shelby Forthright, Buy n Large’s CEO, is voiced and portrayed by Fred Willard in WALL-E.

Forthright appears in prerecorded live-action advertisements and corporate videos from the era when Buy n Large evacuated humanity from Earth. Willard’s upbeat, reassuring delivery contrasts sharply with the consequences of Forthright’s plan: Earth becomes toxic, the cleanup fails, and humanity remains aboard the Axiom for centuries.

Forthright is more than a conventional voice role. WALL-E was Pixar’s first feature to include significant live-action footage, and Willard is the only major live-action performer with a speaking role in the film.
