Who co-wrote the screenplay for WALL-E with Andrew Stanton?

Jim Reardon co-wrote the screenplay for WALL-E with Andrew Stanton. Stanton also directed the film, while Reardon helped shape the dialogue, character structure, and visual storytelling of Pixar’s largely nonverbal science-fiction romance.

WALL-E began as an idea Stanton discussed with Pixar colleagues during a 1994 brainstorming lunch. The premise asked what would happen if humanity abandoned Earth and forgot to switch off the last robot. Stanton and Reardon developed that simple image into a story about a waste-collecting machine who discovers companionship, follows EVE into space, and helps humans reclaim responsibility for their planet.

The writing credits are sometimes mixed up because Pete Docter is also closely associated with the project. Docter helped create the original story concept with Stanton, but the screenplay credit belongs to Stanton and Reardon. Brad Bird and Bob Peterson were involved in other Pixar productions, while Peter Docter is not the credited screenplay co-writer for WALL-E.
